The Nehemiah 500 Initiative

AfCAA faces a financial deficit of KES 24.130 million (USD$188,500) due to factors including COVID-19 disruptions, a decline in membership renewals (2020–2021), delayed renewals in 2024/2025 and the loss of a major grant. This financial deficit threatens our ability to sustain operations and fulfill our mission. To address this shortfall, we have launched the “The Nehemiah 500” initiative, seeking 500 partners to help rebuild our financial foundation. Our goal is to raise KES 25,000,000 (USD 195,000) to settle the accumulated deficit and restore our operational stability. Each partner can contribute a one-time gift of KES 50,000 (USD 375), allowing many individuals to participate in this collective effort to rebuild.

A Biblical Inspiration: The Story of Nehemiah

When Nehemiah heard that Jerusalem’s walls were in ruins, he prayed and mobilized the community, with each family taking responsibility for a section of the wall. AfCAA believes this spirit of shared responsibility is essential today to rebuild its ministry’s financial foundation for Christ’s work across Africa. “Let us start rebuilding. So, they began this good work.” (Nehemiah 2:17–18)
