MBA from Tulane University Graduate School of Business (New Orleans, Louisiana, USA), a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (Wheaton College – Illinois, USA). He worked with Arthur Young and Company in the USA, and Arthur Young McClelland Moore (UK) between 1974 and 1976.
Jonathan has been the Managing Director of Nigeria Associated Best Foods Ltd (NABFL) and a senior director of the ONIGBINDE Group of Companies in Nigeria, for the past 30 years.
He is presently the National Vice President of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) – North East Zone. He is a board member of many profit and non-profit organizations that include International Leadership Foundation, Global Generosity Network, Children Evangelical Ministry, Harvest Leaders Network, Nestlé (Nigeria), and African Council for Accreditation and Accountability (AfCAA).
For over 25 years, Jonathan has been involved in various Christian ministries, giving advice, counseling and training to churches and church leaders, individuals and young couples in the area of Fundraising, Business Management and Christian Ministry. He has given expert advice to churches such as the Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA), United Gospel Faith Tabernacle Church (UGFTC), Church of Christ in Nigeria (COCIN), and other independent churches in Nigeria. He has spoken at conferences in countries including South Africa, South Sudan, Niger, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, Canada and the United States of America. He has lectured and counseled on themes including Giving, Generosity, Accountability, Stewardship, Business as Missions and Integrity Matters.
As an ordained Evangelist he has taught and imparted the Word of God to many on issues ranging from ministry, parenting, family life, Christian life, Evangelism and Discipleship. He pioneered a Bible Study (and Sunday School) Christian Learning Materials publication outfit that puts out over 100,000 new editions of Bible Study materials annually (for nearly 20 years now), and it’s used by majority of the churches in Northern Nigeria. A number of these series have recently been translated into Chinese and also Russian languages and is widely used by churches in the two nations.
Jonathan is married to Charity Onigbinde, and they continue to serve as leaders in their local church fellowships. They have 4 adult children and two adorable grandchildren.
